A Second Look At God’s Blessings

ein sonniger HerbstmorgenSin Never Satisfies

I just heard say something to the extent, “When one is not satisfied with the gifts that God gives them they will begin to sin.”  This makes total sense but I had never thought of it before.

Not Satisfied With:

Spouse it will lead to –> lust –>flirting –> porn –> adultery

Finances it will lead to –> envy –> spending –> debt –> theft

Success it will lead to –> cheating –> lying –> backstabbing –> retracing

When we are not content in life we chase after things to fill our need for satisfaction.  God doesn’t owe us.  Breathing is a gift.

Where are you?  Are you unsatisfied with where God has placed you?  Do you use sin to try and fulfill yourself?

Sin Never Satisfies.  Be content with what God has given you.  Seek out, give everything in your life a second look to see how God has blessed you.

That is just the reason I need to hear the Gospel every week. I need to remember that nothing on this earth satisfies, and I have to remember the beauty of the Gospel. Jesus died for us while we were yet sinners, while we were yet unsatisfied. “Let me see Jesus only/ Only he can satisfy.”

    Thanks for sharing!

Great thoughts! If Christians could learn to be content and live humbly, we would become such a great reflection of God to the unsaved.
